Dr. Tracy E. Ransom is a licensed psychologist who treats individuals and families on the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Ransom specializes in providing psychotherapy for adults with mental health disorders living with disabilities, including stroke, amputation/limb loss, neurodegenerative conditions, spinal cord injury and brain injury. She is also board certified in biofeedback, which allows the patients the ability to physically “see” their physical reaction to stress, anxiety and pain. Patients work with a therapist “in-vivo” to use relaxation and breathing strategies to “re-train” their bodily reactions, often “habits,” to reduce stress and pain.
